"The accommodations in the “Eagles Nest” were perfectly fine for our 2 night stay. If we go again we would try to get one of the cabins for a more secluded stay as they are a little bit away from the lodge vs staying in the lodges. Overall the property and room were very quiet, the owners were very nice and it was perfect for seeing the Black Bears in Orr, MN."

"Shady Hollow deserves an easy 5 star rating. My husband and I stayed with our 5 children aged 1-8, and it was perfect. We all enjoyed the beach, beautiful lake view, swimming, paddle boards, fishing, pedal boat and kayaks, which was included in the cost. The lake was shallow enough for our kids to play safely and there were plenty of toys on the beach for them to use and build sand castles. "We loved the paddleboards, kayaks, floating dock, and pontoon. So many fun things to do on the lake. The fishing was good. It was fun to see the turtles too. The deck off our cabin was wonderful to sit on anytime of day, the spaciousness of our cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Our kids all had their own room. The full kitchen made it super easy to make our own meals. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable indoor chairs to sit on, maybe updated beds and bedding, curtains. The...

"The property is well maintained. We stayed in a non smoking room, but there was a hint of cigarette smoke, either from the sheets or from the history. They don’t allow guests to bring their own alcohol to their rooms. I found this to be very odd and inconvenient. There isn’t much to do within walking distance unless you enjoy sub par dining and slot machines. They didn’t have a poker room and they are supposed to be a casino. The pool was the highlight of the stay. "

"Very fun for children and a good room. But the only con is they nickel and dime you to death. Parking is 15 bucks when you get there and from then on every little thing is overcharging you. Even at the pool they charge you 15 dollars if you don’t bring your towel back and they aren’t the most attentive so I’m sure people are getting charged a lot even if they do bring it back. Beer and other drinks such as Gatorade are so grosly overpriced it was actually embarrassing "
