Beautiful property, great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and the location!

Had a wonderful stay at the Stanford Hotel in San Francisco. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a cozy bed that made for a great night's sleep. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations or requests. The location was convenient, putting us within easy walking distance of great restaurants and local attractions. A great value for the price, and we'd happily stay here again on our next visit to the city.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The photos online do not accurately represent what you actually experience when you arrive. The hallways were in very poor condition, the carpets looked dirty and worn, and the doors and common areas desperately need painting and updating. The room itself was also underwhelming. The one positive was the bed, which was comfortable. The neighborhood was another major disappointment. We did not enjoy the location at all and did not feel it matched what we expected based on the hotel’s presentation online. Overall, the biggest issue for me was the difference between the photos and the reality. When you book a hotel based on the images provided, you expect the property to look and feel similar when you arrive. That was definitely not our experience here. The hotel needs significant updating and better upkeep. I would not stay here again.
