「Located very close to the beach. Room is comfortable. Car park is a bit small and the road leading to the hotel is a bit narrow due to cars parked in the road. The small snooker table has been moved since our last visit making it difficult to get your cue past the walls in places.
We love the atmosphere of this place. The food is really nice. Happy to return again. 」
「Excellent overnight stay in this delightful spot in the South Downs, close to Worthing. Beautifully modernised premises in spacious well-kept grounds. Our room was first class, as were the service snd the excellent breakfast, cooked in front of us. Altogether a real find.」
「It is next to a busy road but I didn’t hear it during the night. It is a very convenient short walk into town or to the castle or station. Breakfast was well served and tasty. Overall a very good experience.」
「The property is just around the corner from the train station and a short walk up to the high street for many dining options. We were able to keep our bicycles safely in a room in the property.」
「Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms」
「This has been on my bucket list for some time. We had a wounderful 2 night stay and everything was perfect. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, larger than alot of hotel rooms. You lay in bed at night and could imagine your travelling on a train. The meal was excellent, Beef Wellington to die for, so good and wonderful surroundings in a 1906 Pullman car exquisitely restored. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. Alot of history tied up in this place.」

「We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.」
