"Overall this place is okay, but the staff was very rude. I was informed upon checking in that I also needed a $50 cash only deposit even though I had already paid with a card in advance. I didn’t have that since I was not aware of this extra fee so I had to go and find somewhere. After a very long day of driving and other activities this is the last thing I wanted to do. Once I got back and had my cash, I wanted to know when I could get it back. The employee was extremely confusing and kept cutting me off and not answering my question. Her response was to ask me if I would rather go somewhere else? Are you kidding me? She also asked if I would rather check in later after she is off so I can talk to someone else. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and clean, the shower was very odd but it worked. The staff checking out was much more pleasant, not sure what exactly caused the other person to be so hostile. "

"A very distinctive, family owned and managed property close to Sequoia National Park. Dog-friendly is an understatement; they’re one of the rare breed that doesn’t charge a pet fee. The staff is marvelous — friendly, helpful, informative. The property is in the process of being upgraded, and by the summer should be in 5-star condition. "
