"Cozy room . "

"We had a very disappointing experience at this motel. When we arrived, the hostess immediately gave us a hard time about checking in online. We had followed the instructions from the text message La Quinta sent and completed early check-in, but because we had two rooms she was upset that we didn’t specifically tell her we had checked in online. The property itself was also in poor condition. The exterior looked dirty and run down. It’s a three story building and none of the elevators were working. We walked around the property trying to find one that worked and even found a transient person sleeping in one of the stairwells, which was concerning. Once we finally made it to our rooms, things didn’t improve. The rooms smelled strongly like over-washed carpets, and the carpets clearly weren’t very clean my kids’ white socks turned filthy just from walking on them. One room had a mini fridge while the other had no fridge at all. The walls are extremely thin. I could clearly hear our neighbor singing in the shower, and there was constant noise from the parking lot throughout the night. The only positive is that it’s close to downtown, but that’s about it. If you’re coming for the wrestling tournament, just be aware that this motel is pretty rough and there’s nothing particularly nice about it."

"The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was large but the set up with 8 suites in one building sharing a central hallway was beyond noisy. No matter how carefully you close the doors they slam so noise was an issue. The bathroom floor was dirty and management definitely needs to check up on the cleaning and do better training. Our shower lever that turns on the overhead was stuck and I was unable to get it to work. My partner had to pull it up for me. We asked the front desk to address it as we were there for 3 nights and nothing was done. The room was very spacious and the bed firm. The highlight was eating dinner at the restarant which was wonderful! We will stay here again but now know to get a room without a central hallway and to make sure the shower works properly first."

"I was told at check in after I had prepaid and checked in online as requested. I got to the hotel around 6pm to check in. I was told my room was already sold and they sold out of a two queen bed rooms. Mind you I had pre paid for the room a week prior. I waited about 15 minutes while the receptionist worked on the computer she gave me a key and said she found me a room. I went to the room and it was already occupied by people. Yes I walked into people in their room with the key given to me!! Horrifying! Then I went back to the receptionist and was told I only had a room if I took the one king bed. So my family had to stay in a room with one bed Ana horrible pill out couch. The pull out couch had soiled sheets rolled up in it. The face towel was also used. We were 6 hours away from home it was getting late. I was unfamiliar with the area and really had no other choice but to stay. I will never again book with Wyndham again. Do not make the same mistake and stay here at this hotel or any Wyndham on that matter. "
