The most difficult to deal with owner, lacks soft skills and common courtesy!
This owner has no knowledge of how to use the website. She messed up the payment arrangements, causing my deposit to not be held by the system and rather paid to her causing over payment for the house. Now I’m battling to get my refund back, as she claims she’s too busy to speak. She also accused us of taking a comforter from the home and according to her maid... leaving it messier than usual. I’m offended! We are a group of 6 adults, who are all professionals in the medical industry and otherwise. We tried to cancel this trip because of the COVID 19 but after getting the run around from Stephanie that she couldn’t answer my questions, we decided to go and try to make the best of it out of not wanting to over stress her (financially) by asking for the funds back with all that’s happening these days. We spent a full 6 days in the house only leaving for food. The home was nice, we were very comfortable. And planned to stay again hopefully in the future despite all the trouble because, in the end we survived. The only thing that would make us not stay again is this refund drama and the claims made against us of misplacing a comforter which was left in the closet had they just LOOKED! She also claimed we left the house messy, which simply put was not true. I followed all directions upon leaving as she described even left all the towels/sheets/pillowcases in a pile for them to make it easier than having to go collect everything from each room. We loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the bathrooms, and swept. We even left about $100 worth of unopened food items in the pantry and freezer in case her family could use it or anyone staying after us wanted to have it. And took out ALL trash! I’ve never been more insulted in my life as I have been dealing with this homeowner! There was hair products, socks and lots of dust left under the master bed, obviously missed by her thorough cleaning staff. Not to mention ion the pictures there’s a tv downstairs... well there isn’t. Only 2 TVs in the whole house. Smh. She wants to keep $200 for a supposedly missing full size Walmart comforter. Absurd! Do not book this owner she’s unorganized, frazzled acting and disrespectful! You’ve been warned!
