Lakeside Shopping Center

Gorgeous, historic hotel with high-end accommodations -- near the convention center and more of a New Orleans experience than the options closer to the convention. We weren't able to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar because of weather, but still enjoyed the bar on the main floor. We'd definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Lanaux Mansion was fantastic! The building maintains its historic charm while remaining well updated. The kitchenette was stocked with some basic breakfast items (instant oats, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea) and we loved relaxing on the balcony in the evenings. The location can’t be beat, either, as it’s walkable to the majority of attractions we planned to see on our visit. What made our stay truly special, though, was the manager Andrea! I had inquired before our stay if someone could leave a simple “happy birthday” note in the room to surprise my boyfriend with—she went above and beyond! We walked in not only to a sweet card, but a bottle of prosecco and glasses to toast his special day with! Such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Thanks for a great stay!
