I stayed here for 3 weeks. Overall a really great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, providing cutlery when I forgot to collect it. I can speak Japanese which helped. If you're an English speaker it'll be a bit more tricky because not all staff can speak English well. The hotel is close to 7 eleven, Lawson and Family Mart so you have a good choice. Also close to the underground and Kyoto station is 1 stop away, so is Teramachi main street. Bus stops are nearby. The only thing a bit far away is the airport limousine pick up point. The laundry service is really cheap 200 yen for the use of the facility which is a bargain! The restaurant food isn't the cheapest, but it's tasty. The menu doesn't change so it's better to eat out most of the time. The only qualm I had was the rudeness of the younger waitress. The staff would change the sheets(unless you placed the do not replace card on the bed), towels, vacuum the floor and replenish the amenities everyday, but they wouldn't dust the place. Because I was there for 3 weeks, the bedside had gotten pretty dusty so I had to clean it myself. But maybe they don't dust because they don't want to disturb your items. I would stay here again, but would like to see an improvement in the eco-friendliness. Perhaps having a soap, shampoo, conditioner dispenser instead of several little bottles everywhere? Also the tea amenities were always wrapped in plastic with plastic spatulas in them which you wouldn't need since they provide teaspoons.
