"Room was clean. Staff was okay, not the usual same service you receive in other hotels. The many warning signs posted in the hotels seemed very off-putting. Had to pay an extra 400 yen during check-in to receive my hotel keycard. Nevertheless, my stay was excellent with no issues whatsoever. "

We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai. "First time in Kyoto and we had the best time in this traditional feeling Japanese ryoken. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Their restaurant was traditional, inexpensive and very yummy. No complaints at all, would go back!!! Immaculate gardens around the property, good coffee shop on the parking lots, convenience store close by, close to a major bus route. Absolutely breathtaking neighborhood."
