Visiting the island of Moloka'i from O'ahu on a six-passenger propeller plane and landing right in the old leper colony of Kalaupapa was one of the coolest experiences to-date. These gorgeous #beaches lie just beneath some of the tallest sea cliffs in the world. The only way to get to Kalaupapa is on a private tour, either by small plane, donkeys or hiking. #lifeatexpedia
We decided to hike down to the Leper Colony down the tallest sea cliffs in the world. There were 26 switchbacks with an elevation of over 1600 feet. You can take a mule ride, but we decided not to spend the money on it. If you're not an avid hiker, take the mule ride!
