「Stayed at Casa Del Mar in Galveston and overall it was okay, but not quite what we expected. The location is great and convenient to the beach, but the unit itself could use some attention. Cleanliness and upkeep weren’t up to par. I did reach out to the owners, and communication was fine, but it didn’t fully make up for the issues during our stay. Not a terrible experience, just not one I’d rush back to.」

「Great location!! We enjoyed sitting on the deck facing the beach and watching sunrise then turning chairs to watch sunset. Enjoyed being able to take our golden retriever with us !! We could easily walk to the beach and drive to the the beach on park on it. I will definitely come back!!」

「 Planning a vacation with a small dog, an active 3 yo boy, and a 6mo old is no easy task. I am soo glad I found this gem. The fully fenced yard allowed our grandson and dog son to safely play outside. All we needed for the youngest were his crib sheets, a definite plus! We kayaked, played pickle ball, fished, went to the beach, and steamed the crabs we caught in the crab traps. The host made sure everything was perfect. Would definitely rent this house again. 」

「It is a good value although the property is pretty dated.
Like many of the buildings in Gal Island it is probably from the 1920's.
We did like the pool setup but we were not sure how clean it was as the water is hazy.
Within walking distance of the beach and lots of cool attractions.
Room was big bathroom was tiny. We stayed in room 7. Our patio view caught a little of the ocean.
Expect older and worn not new and shiny. Enjoy the nostalgia!」
