It was cozy and romantic. We're Alaskans, so like a cooler room to sleep in. The bedding was so generous we could open the screened windows all night, waking up to birds and the rising sun was beautiful. Our room was exceptionally private, and the provided snacks were a lovely treat. When we stay next time, we'll try the jetted tub!
What a wonderful experience! Awesome views wherever you look. Truly top-notch, luxurious bed and furnishings! Everything a person could want. So relaxing!!! A1 stay!
We enjoyed our stay very much; great views of Juneau, Susan was super helpful and responsive, and we saw bald eagles (up to 5 at once!) soar overhead and land on the beach every morning in front at low tide to eat washed-up salmon. The jacuzzi tub was welcome after a long day of hiking or site seeing.
Did not meet hotel staff, only corresponded through email. Arrived late, left early.

Don't stay here, over priced
This Hotel is way over priced, it said it had a private deck it was not private at all it was attached to the inn keeper house. we were not suppose to use the jetted tub after 9PM or before 9AM. all the rooms were so close you could hear everyone. this would not be a good place for a Honeymoon. We were suppose to get wine and cheese every night there and did not.
Walking distance to town, bus stop and shopping. Room was very comfortable and staff was more than accommodating. Views of the mountains and water up close.
We were so happy to have found this place. Perfect location , by the Water, Near Juneau. Susan the owner is very friendly and helpful finding good activities around. Quiet.
the property is located across from town with lovely views..the inn was immaculate and the innkeeper friendly and attentive. close walking distance to town and shopping.
would recommend this to anyone.
We stayed for 4 nights in beachside, and the experience was incredible. 10/10 home comfort, clean and quiet. Very nice waterfront view, cozy and romantic. Very near to the downtown center, mt Robert tramway where most of the tours gathering point are just opposite the inn across the bridge (probably 20 mins leisure walk, or 5 mins drive). The inn signage was not very visible though, need to pay attention on left if you were driving from airport.
The two good things about the bed and breakfast were the view and the privacy. These positives were more than offset by the low ceilings, claustrophobic second bedroom, wi-fi that only worked in a very narrow space near the kitchen sink, and the non-breakfast breakfast. And, guests cannot check in until 5:00 pm.
It was also insanely expensive. We paid $387.54 per night due to extra guest fees...that were more than the original cost of the room? No thanks.
The room we stayed in was the bottom floor 2 doubles room - and it was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed - beyond what I expected. The innkeepers are very accommodating and generous with information. We chose not to rent a car which meant a 30 minute walk along the water and a busy roadway to and from downtown Juneau - but this was entirely our choice and we were grateful for the exercise. Taxis are available and we did arrange for them when the weather was bad. Continental breakfast included is ok and as expected - a muffin or a bagel (you have to choose), OJ, coffee. Wifi is available but limited to a small area in the apartment. Only real complaint is the shower is really tiny and the water temperature somewhat variable. Overall I would highly recommend it. It was much quieter and I expect much nicer than many of the downtown Juneau options, and far away from the cruise boat traffic and tourists.
Our room had a gorgeous view of the channel from everywhere in the room, including a window in the double-headed shower. The bed was very comfortable, the tub had a waterfall and jets. There was a huge walk-in closet with little extras like movies and robes. The proprietress brought us pastries every morning and wine and cheese every evening. The property is across the channel from downtown Juneau, so it is more convenient if you have a car, but if not, it's just a 15-20 minute walk over the bridge.
Configuration of the lower unit is not really suitable for three or more persons. Small footprint in one bedroom and the sitting area. Small windows and a low ceiling gave a feeling of being hemmed in. Not suitable for folks who do not take well to climbing the steps from the road to the doors. Very we'll maintained.
As the title says, the location of this B&B is amazing. The rooms look right onto the harbor and mountains; a wonderful way to start the day. The rooms themselves are very clean and well decorated and I can honestly say the bed was the best hotel bed I've ever slept in. Finally, the owner was very friendly and made us feel right at home.
The one thing stopping me from giving the establishment a full '5' is breakfast, which consisted of our choice of bagel, muffin or oatmeal. This is okay as there are lots of breakfast places in Juneau (I recommend Silverbow), but if you are looking for a big home cooked breakfast you won't find it here.
If you need a place to stay in Juneau, the Beachside Villa is the place. Great room with amanities and unbeatable view. We thoroughly enjoyed three days there.
This place is very nice. The sheets are high thread count, the room is clean and tastefully decorated. Your hostess stocks the mini fridge with real cream for your coffee each day- which is pretty much a barometer of experience for me, as coffeemate is my nemesis. The view is spectacular and ever changing. Yes, there are 11 pillows on the bed, but as the title of this review suggests, one of the highlights of coming back in the evening was seeing if the housekeeper found all the places we hid the pillows, and seeing her new & artful arrangements of said bedding.
