Nice quiet location

A nice place to stay the night during our weekend in Vermont. Lovely location, just the right size. We built a great little fire and cooked over it and enjoyed our time there.

Brilliant slice of heaven amongst the Green Mountains!

My partner and I have been exploring Vermont since moving out East from the PNW, and Dianne’s spot made us fall in love with northern Vermont! Unbelievably gracious host who made us feel the most welcome!

Quiet, peaceful

This cabin was exactly as advertised. The setting was quiet, peaceful, and there was a pretty nice view too! The property manager was really great and provided a few amenities I wasn't aware there would be (drinking water, water for washing stuff, battery charger/lamp).

Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Very close proximity to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail made this property extra attractive to me. Close to Jeffersonville for any immediate needs. Beautiful, quiet property, cozy cabin, and a wonderful host. Dianne was quick to respond to my questions, and went above and beyond to help make my time extra comfortable. This is a really excellent option for anyone looking to explore the LVRT or just get some quiet relaxation time. I got both and would be happy to do it again!

Cabin

Cabin was very nice but we were under the impression there would at least be a a bed and some blankets/pillows. It’s really just a camping cabin which I feel should be much cheaper than this is listed for.

Beautiful area

Off grid experience was nice. Temperature dropped at night so a warm sleeping bag helped. The property is beautiful. Dianne is a wonderful owner and easy to communicate with.

It is beautiful, you were paying for the beautiful hill where the camping and cabins are located. The highway noise is loud. When the “cleaning” expenses are added on, I felt it was over priced, when all they have to do is sweep out the cabin. The fireplace was not cleaned out. It was all good. I enjoyed it. Beautiful sunrise. I would not return due to the highway noise, especially in the morning on a weekday.

Dianne was a lovely host. She accommodated our early check-in request, gave us a quick run through, provided hot water for the outdoor shower in the morning, excellent communication overall. Cabin was cozy enough for two. The futon rolled out into a Queen sized bed. Portable power station inside that can power up to three plug in devices and room for a couple of USB C connections. There was a small lamp and a fan inside. Room was very hot that summer afternoon with the door closed, but was cool enough at night to not need the fan/door open. Be mindful of any bugs/spiders that might get in.Some trails nearby to explore if you want. We had three other campsites for the Saturday night that we stayed. Felt pretty safe.We were hoping to buy some firewood for the night, but the other campers beat us to it, so make sure you're prepared just in case, because it gets DARK.Bathroom was an outhouse next to the firewood shed/sink that was well maintained. Overall good cabin experience if you're in the area. Recommended.

You are getting an immaculate shed in the wilderness. Spartan. No heat, no indoor plumbing, no electricity. The cabin is uninsulated, has a futon, a table, shelves, a power source, a light, and I had cell service (AT&T). I could charge my gadgets. No traffic noise whatsoever. Others have reported hearing cars, I heard nothing other than peeping frogs, coyotes, and owls. You need to bring your own sleeping bag, it gets cool. The hostess is tremendous. She communicates, is available, and brought drinking water, and a large jug of heated water for the outdoor shower, adjacent to a sink with running water and compost toilet, very close to the cabin. This is a quiet wilderness experience. Great views. I stayed there for a bike race at Jay Peak, as I like to avoid the chaos and din and accompanying pre-race jitters.

Beautiful nature, minimal amenities

The host was really sweet and came out to say hi and ask us if we needed anything. I thought this was more like a glamping set up, but it’s basically a shed with a futon couch that turns into a bed, a few blankets, pillows, and a little light. The bed was very hard, better than a blow up mattress but nothing comfortable. i would say that it’s way overpriced for what you get. I love nature and have booked many off grid stays but they were all stocked with all the essentials (cups, silverware, plates, propane stoves, fireplaces, even warm running water for showering) only thing you’d need to bring is food. This is more like a bring all your own stuff situation which I don’t know why the price per night is so high. Otherwise a beautiful and peaceful location. The colors of the fall leaves were amazing. My dogs loved the space to run in. It gets really cold at night, we brought wool blankets and wool socks with us so stayed pretty toasty. Make sure you bring everything you need.
