About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Lakefront, Gas Firepit. Hot Tub. Private Dock. Pup Friendly
It has been dubbed "Tennessee's Last Frontier" and "Yosemite of the East". The Upper Cumberland…or as we call it, “the U.C.”. What a wonderous, magical place to escape the hustle, bustle, hassle and humidity of the city, and just a couple of hours away from Nashville & Knoxville. It’s just too good not to share! Perfect 4/2 is one of a two cabin property. One is my little getaway and the other can be yours, located on a spring fed lake in a private community just minutes from Big South Fork, Dale Hollow Lake, Muddy Pond and Historic Rugby. The clean, cozy cabin is nestled in the oaks just steps away from my large private covered dock.
Enjoy a camp fire, nap in a hammock, drop a line off the dock or just snuggle up with a good book by the new firepit and enjoy views of the lake & moss garden from the large covered decks. There’s something for everyone and the cabin is all yours!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and Leigh was a very attentive host! The cabin was incredibly cozy and had every detail considered. The bed was very comfortable too!! We came to town to hike and explore Big Soth Fork, which is a gorgeous area. By the time we finished at the park we didn't spend much time outside of the cabin because the weather was very chilly, but the dock and patio areas were PHENOMENAL and we're excited to come back in late spring so we can use them properly as well! Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommend!
This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway! Leigh has thought of everything, and the hot tub is a great addition! We have stayed here before, and plan to return next year!
Thank you for a great couple days in your cottage! We loved being able to sit on the porch and enjoy the fire table and watch the geese enjoy the lake. Friends joined us for Christmas day. We were hoping to hike, but the weather had other plans, so we hunkered down and played cards on the porch, and had a lovely dinner. We hiked the Twin Arches the next day and had a great hike with our dog. Everything at the cabin was wonderful. The accommodations were great, and it was such a nice and relaxing place. We loved the peacefulness of the lake and enjoying the hot tub after the long hike. Thank you for providing the space we needed to help process life. It was just what we needed! Thank you!
Very well maintained place. Just the right size for two people. Leigh has all the amenities there for a comfortable stay. Will possibly be back when warmer weather comes back. A lot of hiking in the area.
This cabin was a great place to get away. We did some hiking. Loved the Twin Arches and Northup Falls! Can’t beat the lake and the porch to just relax!
This cabin is small and very cute. Love the decor, it’s squeaky clean. Nice cul de sac by the lake. We only stayed Saturday night with the dogs for a little walking in the fall weather. Enjoyed our little trip.
What a fabulous cabin !!! Leigh stocked everything you could need in the home. We had a blast on the kayaks, enjoyed sitting on the deck, and lounging on the private dock. Leigh checked in on us to see if we needed anything and even gave info on the rare Black Moon and the dark sky park for stargazing. We could not believe the quietness . We will be back . Thank you for an amazing trip !!!
From hikes in the area to kayaking on the lake, we had the best time at this cute lakefront cabin. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with the fire pit! Loved ending the day in the hot tub! Leigh's attention to detail is impeccable. Providing everything that was needed, if there were questions she answered quickly. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed our stay! Ella our dog had the best time also! Would highly recommend, and would definitely return!
Everything was as promised and more. Perfect place to getaway from work and city life. If you’re looking for the perfect place just to relax this is it. Will be staying again in future. Your host has thought of everything to make you stay a pleasant and memorable one.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin and wish we could have stayed longer to further explore the area. Leigh is the perfect hostess, anticipating every need. The lake is beautiful and we loved the hot tub and deck. Good communication!
This property, located on the top of a mountain in Fentress County, is absolutely beautiful. I could not imagine it to be more relaxing! The property owner is so easy to work with and provides great information for the area! We greatly appreciated the way everything was set up and available: from the cozy house, to the relaxing hot tube, to the kayaks to take out on the lake. It was a wonderful stay!
It was absolutely amazing. We had the perfect time!
He fished and I would kayak around the lake and read on the upper deck or porch swing and in the evening we would enjoy the hot tub together. Brought our 2 dogs with us and it was the perfect vacation for them too! We would definitely go back there and even checked out some of the local sights and towns in the area.
We had such a wonderful time, and tried to do a bit of everything. We caught a couple bass and bluegill fishing from the kayaks and dock, relaxed in the hot tub, hiked Twin Arches, rode ATVs at Pickett State Park, and enjoyed the rain/storms over the water from the deck. It was the perfect spot to relax and disconnect. Leigh was really responsive and accommodating - an incredible host. Everything was simple and easy and we hope to be back. You won't be disappointed!
Great property and very peaceful! Cottage was spotless and cozy and Leigh thought of everything to stay there. Hot tub was a bonus to relax and have a cold peach Bellini from the wine we bought at Highland Winery about 15 min from cottage. Fishing was outstanding! Caught about 25 fish and missed another 50! From bass to catfish to sun fish and crappie! I would recommend this little peaceful getaway in a heartbeat! Beautiful there!
I so enjoyed my stay the lake cabin from start to finish! The property was even more beautiful than advertised. I felt welcomed from the first moment I arrived. The cabin is immaculate and well stocked, from towels to spices to outdoor equipment. I needed to do nothing but bring food! The views are lovely. It rained a few times during my stay yet I was still able to sit on the covered porch/deck and enjoy the sights and sounds! I recommend this charming place to anyone and I plan to go back again!
This cabin is a great getaway for two people who need to unwind from the work force. It was so beautiful and the lake was so clear. The dock was huge to fish off of and you can see the bass and blue gill swimming. The fish are smart cookies here though and will take your bait in a heartbeat. Caught lots of fish. The hot tub was so nice at night to relax (even though I wish it was more private). The necaties that you need for cooking is all there. The new gas fire pit on the deck was so nice on a windy chilly day. We will be back.
Wife and I and our companion shepherd celebrated our 38th anniversary in this beautiful, meticulously clean lakefront cabin. Couldn’t ask for a better place. The pictures does not justify the magnificent beauty and tranquil scenery of the place. Leigh the owner helped us in every way- above and beyond her responsibilities. we called her because we caught a nail in our front tire to let her know we were going to be late checking in and she actually looked up Ford dealership on my route to help us since we did not know the area. The neighbors were super nice and friendly. We enjoyed canoeing on the tranquil lake, and in the evening a cup of wine in the Jacuzzi overlooking the lake. Mornings were super relaxing, enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch in front of the fire pit as the sun rised and in the cool evenings, sipping a little wine from the local vineyard and some cheese. Wife and I highly recommend this oasis to anyone that’s looking for a time to relax and enjoy nature at it’s best.
