"Great hotel"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol Naciente! The views from the house were amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. The homemade guacamole at check in was a nice touch. The music from the Joint could be heard while outside at the pool or on the rooftop terrace, but it wasn't too loud and we enjoyed it. The pillows were very hard so I would suggest bringing your own like I did, but everything was excellent other than that.As for the location, it is nice and quiet on the south side. There are several restaurants and a very small bodega that are within walking distance. Garrafon de Castilla Beach Club is right in front of the house, and Kin Ha is about a 10 minute walk. It is only a 15 minute walk down to the southern most point of Punta Sur, and it is a great place to watch the sunrise. The sunset view is excellent right from the house. It is easy to catch a taxi or the bus right in front of the Joint, so a golf cart or car is not necessary for getting to the north side."

"The room was very cozy and made us feel like we were part of the movie encanto. Don't expect a modern style and you are going to be very pleased. The mattress is firm but comfy. They have a snall pool and the cutest cat that slept on our balcony almost daily. The restaurants around aren't open super late, but very good. We enjoyed our 2 nights very much before heading to our all inclusive on the mainland."
