Girl weekend getaway

Close proximity to Mt.Vernon where we found fun boutiques to shop in, good eats and very friendly people. We liked that this was away from the hustle bustle, more country feel. We liked sitting on the front porch watching the trains go by. Relaxing fun weekend.

Short, but nice stay

Interior of property was very clean and well furnished. Everything worked fine. The exterior, especially the porch needs some maintenance performed. Leaves needed to be blown away from entrance to avoid being blown or drug into house. Overall, a very clean and comfortable house.

This property owner is non communicative with both guests and VRBO. They will eventually, at the last minute when prompted by vrbo, send check in instructions and say they expect a 5 star review. We would not feel safe traveling to this property (especially with children) without solid communication. All onus is placed on guests no matter the circumstances. This property owner knows that and works in those parameters. Cannot in good faith recommend this property or host.

Clean , affordable and cozy house

I was meeting my friend from Atlanta half way from Wisconsin and found this house. It was clean and cozy. The host was strategic and provided ear plugs for both bedrooms since the house is on a main highway and across the street from railroad tracks. We loved exploring the area and enjoyed Rend Lake.

We love the house, the host is wonderful. We would like to see a new sofa. That one is hard to get in and out of and just plain uncomfortable. Would like to see a hand rail on the back steps. Communication is great. Love that we can bring our little dog. Thank you
