"Housekeeping staff could not come back at a later time that day to clean the room, that was disappointing. The internet was soooo sllloooowww. The lady with the colorful eyeglasses helping out with the breakfast food was very nice and pleasant (sorry I didn’t get her name). The front desk personnel were also friendly."

"When our initial room didn't have much of a window, the staff was very helpful and quickly switched us to an available room with a balcony for a nominal fee. The place has a cool retro beach-motel vibe, which some may enjoy more than others but we liked. Despite the meh weather, the attached pub was pretty lively for dinner with a nice outside seating area and I'm sure that during the summer the whole place and attached small beach are very lively. We enjoyed our one-night stay and may return next time we attend a show at the nearby Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport."

"Fabulous location, close to the beach in a very walk-able, nice neighborhood. This is a home lovingly decorated in a beachy style and filled with the personal effects of the owner. In that light it felt fairly cluttered to my family of four adults and one child. Upon check-in we immediately moved vulnerable breakables out of reach for ease of movement and to avoid accidents. The kitchen was equipped with everything a cook might need whether we wanted to brew a cup of coffee or steam a lobster. Prep space on the counters was a squeeze. We had decided to rent specifically to have a place to cook for ourselves and avoid going out for every meal. Luckily there are many good takeout places nearby. Please bear in mind that it rained every day of our stay, preventing us from enjoying the lovely, flower-filled backyard. Our host, Tina, was very attentive and happy to share her knowledge of the area."

"Amazing property! The host had free snacks, room was completely stocked with soaps, toothbrush, toothpaste, towels, washcloths and even flossers! Very detail oriented ! It was very clean and had board games and a full sized fridge. The check in process was super easy and I only had to take the trash out when I was done. No major cleaning tasks like other properties. Would 100% recommend!!!"

"Pros: - close to office I was traveling for - comfortable bed - not-feather pillows (feathers do not support my side-sleeping) - small gym and cardio rooms - space to work in room (desk) - neat reading lights on the bed’s headboard Cons: - old property (looks worn; ceiling tile in closet coming down, carpet bunches in places) - bathtub faucet sprays water out during shower (though I suppose the spray was nice for cleaning feet) - no fan for the bathroom (I don’t like not having a fan on during a shower) - room refrigerator did NOT work - asked if fridge could be repaired, but it never was while I was there - pool did not look clean enough to swim in (water looked yellow) [this is specific to the indoor pool; there is also an outdoor pool that I didn’t look at because it was too cold to swim outside] - hot tub listed as amenity, but covered by wooden boards and obviously not available - treadmills are older and squeak a lot during use - breakfast is not included in room price (continental AYCE, but $20+ per person) The price and distance are what I needed for the reason I was in the area, but I would not go out of my way to stay here again, despite the fact that this hotel was rated a little higher than others at a similar price. Not the worst hotel experience I’ve had, just too many cons to not give the other hotels a chance (and possibly pay a little more)."
