「Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles.」

「Lovely location and hotel. Spa pretty busy so hard to use facilities or find somewhere to really relax. Restaurant is fine but vegetarian options very limited. A mini bar/fridge in room would be nice. My the time we went to have tea in the morning the milk on the countertop was warm and a bit spoilt. 」

「All clean and ready, but I woke up freezing and had to double up my duvet. The fire light was also very bright and I found it hard to get to sleep and to get to sleep again. 」

「すごく大きなマナーハウスで、貴族になった気分？で快適に過ごせました。部屋も清潔で広いです。敷地も広く、ゴルフコースになっています。裏側にはお城の廃墟があり、散歩するととても気分がいいです。ロンドンではこのレベルは500ポンドくらいするでしょう。ロンドンから1時間くらいかけてもこちらに泊まったほうがいいです。」

「とっても素敵なホテルです！ホテルの受け付けはレストランのバーになります。ワンちゃんも一緒に泊まれるホテルなので、愛犬を連れてきている人も多かったです。ドッグランがあり、レストランにもワンちゃんが一緒に入れます。朝食は込みで、いくつかのメニューから選べます。（エッグベネディクト、イングリッシュオールインワン、サーモンなど。別でパンやシリアル、果物は自由です）ワンちゃん用のご飯も朝食会場にありました。 　ワンちゃんと一緒に泊まれるホテルですが、お部屋はとても綺麗で匂いもありません。冷蔵庫がなかったことが残念ですが、コーヒーマシーンやお水もセットされていて快適でした。　なんといっても周りがとっても静かで、ゆっくりするには最適です。　ただ周りにスーパーなどはないので、ホテルのレストランで夕食されることをおススメします。とっても美味しいです」

「Nice clean place, staff very friendly, if a little under staffed, could do with additional staff in my opinion, but the staff I encountered remained positive and very helpful. atmosphere is good, the food was good, all in all I had a pleasant stay. If leaving before the main pub entrance is open, the route out to the car park could do that lighting, it’s very dark exiting via that route. 」

「I was very nervous because it was my first overseas trip in a long time, but the staff were very kind and treated me and my son well. I stayed here to go to Highclere Castle, and they arranged a taxi for us, which was very helpful. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Newbury. Thank you very much.」
