"Great stay"

"We had stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago and it was incredibly worn and the service was poor at best-and I swore I would never go back. I learned they had updated the hotel -so I figured I would give it another chance- as there are so few options in Evanston during parents weekend etc. Unfortunately, it was just like putting lipstick on a pig- maybe they painted and got new bedding but it is still old and dilapidated - the bathrooms are yucky. The service was fine and we did like they have a little snack bar downstairs - but the room was disappointing. "

"This would be the PERFECT hotel if there was a pool! I love the staff, the location is fantastic, the parking is reasonable and connected to the hotel. I have stayed here twice in the last six weeks and both times were wonderful. The breakfast buffet is FANTASTIC and it's $10 a person. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a soft place to land"

"The Graduate is very charming and I had a special room with a view and a fireplace! But it comes with all the charm of a boutique hotel, like a slow elevator (and only one small elevator), so don't expect the perks and efficiency of a franchise hotel. But I still prefer it and it feels more like home. I'll stay there again when I'm in Evanston!"

"Stayed one night in a junior suite at Hilton Garden Inn North Shore and had one of the worst nights of sleep in a long time. The bed was extremely firm, and the pillows were completely worn out with little to no support. The room’s air conditioner made things worse. It was loud and oddly placed, with the vent right next to the bed blowing directly on me all night. The bar experience didn’t help either. My martini was poorly made, and the bartender didn’t seem to know how to prepare a Cosmopolitan, which is a pretty standard cocktail. The room layout was also strange and not very functional. Overall, the hotel feels very worn. The carpet in the room was dirty, and the common areas showed visible signs of neglect. This property is clearly in need of a refresh. Would not stay again."

"Good hotel"

"Although the location was very good for visiting at Northwestern, for the price I was disappointed in the cleanliness and missing information.The floors needed vacuuming, cobwebs on the ceiling, the coffee pot was dirty and there was no way to control the heat. Space heaters were provided. In addition, the TV was projector style with no instructions for use."

"two of the nights we were there we experienced prolonged domestic disturbances involving fighting and loud music. both events ran for a couple of hours with no apparent action by the staff to control.i guess it is the guest’s responsibility to call the police. felt like i was staying at a motel 6"

"Beautiful property with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Great location and parking was an added bonus!"
