Very noisy rooms on the first floor near the pool. Noise from restrooms, restaurant, and pool area. Non-guests can buy day passes, making it crowded during the day. Pool not very clean.

The lights were flickering. There wasn’t any hair dryer or iron but everything was great.

Check in policy is unclear. The cash policy is listed in FAQ but not noted in the auto message after booking or clearly displayed. It is also misleading when you’re required to leave a credit card for booking. Upon arrival I was told I had to make multiple transactions and my credit card company flagged it as fraud. I had use my limited international cellular service to contact customer service to resolve the issue. Then my room was infested with ants! They were in my bed and suitcase. I had to have my clothes washed. It took 3 days to speak to a manager who didn’t even cover my laundry service. He said this was an expected issue and he gave me Q100 restaurant credit. I expect some spiders but not ants all over the floor, getting into my suitcase and in MY BED.

Very comfortable bed, cute decor, but the lights rarely worked or if they did they were very dim and flickered constantly, we had to use our headlamps in the bathroom for light. There was also quite big ant problem, primarily in the bathroom and shower, occasionally on the counter and the bed. The pool and cafe were great and the staff was wonderful. I booked through Expedia and received several messages saying they only accept cash payment, either in USD or QTZ, not fond of carrying that much extra cash as this was the last stop on our trip to Guatemala, but on arrival credit card was accepted which was a bit frustrating since repeated communication between myself and the property said only cash.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy walk to the store and bars. You can book a tour of the other villages by boat from the resort, and there is safe parking nearby for a small fee. The continental breakfast included eggs which was nice. The pool area had plenty of lounge chairs and tables and you can order food and drinks. I recommend the hamburguesa Sababa. Overall just an excellent relaxing stay. At might you will hear music from the local bars nearby, but it's not overwhelming

Room was great. Location was great. Pool and restaurant service was great. Views were great. My only complaint was it located next to a loud bar (only open Saturday nights) and stopped music around midnight.

The property itself is nice, with very large and spacious rooms. The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the surrounding area was not very appealing, and the breakfast options were quite limited.

Nice clean room with great mattress. Simple egg breakfast was ok. This is the first time I have been issued earplugs during regeneration. We soon found out why with extremely loud (on site) bar/band music beginning at 7:30 PM and going nonstop until 1 AM. Every night. If you’re into an on-site hostile with a very loud partying crowd most of the night this is the place for you- seriously. We were not and feel like this should be disclosed up front.

Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was delicious. Beautiful view of the lake. I feel the state of the pool and bridge over the pool should be updated. I thought it was a larger property than it was. Loud music playing by the pool and heard in the rooms until after midnight.

I was very surprised with Sababa Resort. I wasn't expecting much, just a place for my daughter and I to lay our heads after a long day on the lake. The room was very spacious and clean, and the TV was on the wall. The grounds were nice, the pool and views were amazing. My only complaint would be the breakfast; there were no meat options.
