「It was last minute plan change from my usual stay in old hall not too far from this hotel, just being curious to find another one. Not so sure was that a right decision, Building is beautiful and amazing gland entrance and big room, however, the service is not that good. Bistro is full of student part timers, not many choice for break fast, a bit shaby as high grade hotel. My sister who does not live in UK did not have the idea of having a cold croissant for breakfast put it to toaster which...

「Staff so friendly and helpful. Found room quite warm in the day but in evening was able to open windows fully to get some air in (stayed in April). I imagine would be very hot in summer even with fan provided in room. Walls are very thin, not a problem for me as thankfully my neighbours were quiet but I know other people were not so lucky. Was able to do me a vegan breakfast in the morning which I was happy with. I would stay again if I was in the area and needed a good value place to stay. 」

「Amazing break! Staff all friendly. Food in main restaurant was amazing and had a great massage at spa by Hannah. Spa was all lovely and clean and not overcrowded. The only thing was the relaxation room was not open after our massage as we chose the last session. The pastries at breakfast were not worth the calories as a bit stodgy. Other dishes were absolutely amazing. Thanks」

「All I can say about this amazing hotel is that it’s simply wonderful. I was deeply impressed by the hospitality of the staff. The castle was so big that I got lost several times, but the staff kindly helped me each time. Even though I didn’t have a restaurant reservation, they still provided breakfast and dinner without any issue, and I’m truly grateful for that. I would definitely love to stay here again on a special occasion.」

「Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, but needs some updating. Thete was plenty of space for more drawers for clothes, a table/ rack for a suitcase , and a small table between the chairs would have been useful. The pool and spa area was excellent. The gardens are lovely. The restaurant was heavily influenced by spice - too much for older taste buds, but the chef was accommodating! 」

「This is our second visit to this hotel and we will return next time we are in Chester. The location with the Park & Ride next door is very handy for visiting the city. The large on site parking is ideal. Food purchased was very good. The pool of course is a bonus. All members of staff we met from the receptionists to the room attendants were friendly and professional. The only thing missing was a fridge in the room.」

「Breakfast was terrible value. it was offered as a continental breakfast but what actually came were offerings that did not include and cheese or ham or even a boiled egg. My husband discussed it the manager. There is a new menu on its way.Staff were all very friendly.There just seemed to be fewer around than on previous stays over the years.in general the hotel is in a great location.
