"The staff was very rude. I had to wait at the desk several times while they come out of their little room eating. They did not have any business space for me to print . The window shade fell off the window while we came and checked in very late and we had to change rooms. I just really don’t care for rudeness by the staff."

"They charged me for snacks used in a room, which we did not use and I had to go out of my way to call which was very difficult to get a hold of a live person. I had to be on hold for a very long time and finally got a person and they put me on hold and had to wait in the front desk. Will take the charge off, but I feel bad for the people who jumped check their bills for incidents like these because it was a total rip off. I will not stay here again I cannot trust them."

"Despite the hotel being very clean and modern, which is nice. I have to comment on the quality of sleep for the short time you do spend in your hotel room in the evening. The room was small, but that isnt a big deal because most NYC hotel rooms are. Not a good view, but again, same with most hotel rooms. There was no place for out suitcase or our items. They have no drawers to put clothes and out suitcases just had to sit out and live out of our suitcases. You could not control the temperature if you needed it to be cooler in the room. The thermostat only goes down to about 69 degrees. I woke up drenched in sweat every night and it makes it hard to sleep. My biggest problem was the bed. At first glance the bed is soft. They put a thick down topper on the bed. But, underneath, the mattresses need to be replaced! They are old and have been slept in for years already obviously. The two sides of the mattress were very sunken in. When you lift the pillowtop you can tell. So when you get in for bed it sinks you in and there is absolutely NO BACK SUPPORT at all. And the pillows are so thick and fluffy (Those are probably new) it cranks you neck even higher since you are sunken in. It made it so so hard to get a comfortable night sleep and my back hurt most of the trip. So if you need a good mattress for sleep, this is not you hotel."

"Not as I expected and me saying that says a lot since I’m really laid back and not picky at all… I booked a king deluxe room in which I thought was a private room, which when I went inside, it was a connecting room! And a lock that only separated it! I literally could just open the door and my neighbor room is visible…. I was told they were at full capacity which I highly doubt it because I checked online to see if I could book a room the following day and I was staying there for three days.. second it was 2am and a strong food smell came from my neighbor room which I believe it was take out and I could here the TV loud and clear! again he was entitled to do whatever he wanted because it’s his room but due to the situation I was getting the short end of the stick, I called and ask to be moved and I was told no again and pretty much tell me too bad and I’m sorry… this went on for three days.. hotel needs some work and the paint from the roof was coming off in the bathroom… I stayed in this property back when I was the W and it was perfect but now it’s an bit torn down… needs some love. I don’t know if I will stay there again unless they offer me a suit upgrade… and if that still think about it "

"Best place I have stayed in NYC. Subways are so easy and convenient to everything. Room was immaculate, roomy, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Eat in the restaurant, food is delicious and cheaper than many options around the hotel. Now, the best part, front desk folks. Always kind, informative, gracious and made the whole experience even better. I will not stay anywhere else in NYC, best value, location and people. A hidden gem! Wish I could go back soon for another week!"
