「We arrived on Long Island very late on the 10th. We were at a hotel that was completely horrid and we had to get out of there. We left there the morning of the 12th and booked the Marriott. We left without showering and needed to get ourselves together for the day. The staff at the Marriott allowed us to get into a room around 11 and helped us tremendously. "I stayed there with my family arriving from Paris and catching flight to Tokyo the following day. After claiming our baggage, we went to the AirTrain Federal Circle station, where all the hotel shuttles arrive. No Hyatt shuttle came. We called the hotel to find out that they don't provide airport shuttle service and the best way to get there is to use ride share. We were surprised to hear that as it is an airport hotel (as the name suggests) and Expedia booking site says free shuttle. It is very misleading. We ended up paying $80 for round trip between hotel and JFK.

"It may be a little scary for a woman to walk alone around the hotel as Chinatown is spread out around the hotel. The hotel staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful.
