It is located only 30 minutes from downtown Denver and 8 miles from Idaho Springs in the heart of local attractions. There are small mountain towns rich in mining and railroad history, featuring antique shops, historic sites, museums, beautiful trails, and scenic drives. Historic Idaho Springs with its famous hot mineral springs pool and geothermal baths in only 8 miles away. Enjoy white water rafting on Clear Creek.

The cottage has two private bedrooms, a dining room, a living room, and a kitchen. An old wood-burning stove, antique furniture, and decor will take you back to the beginning of the last century. The cottage (it was built in or before 1864) is a historic property. You can find old photos dated 1864 in the Denver Public Library, where our house is depicted. Victorian Retreat

The little house is adorable but very hard to access, lots of hills and stairs. The road that the house is on is very difficult to maneuver in a truck and very few parking options. We enjoyed being able to walk into town for restaurants and casinos, but it was more of a hike than we anticipated. Overall we had a good time!
