The property has extensive rear grounds that go down to the River Black Water, there is free fishing but very little salmon, Scottish Fisheries catch the Salmon as they jump up Rogie Falls, however, Brown Trout is frequently caught in the River.
Some of the smallest birds in the UK can be seen in the grounds, with a good selection of Raptors, Stags, Pine Martens, Badgers.

Locally there are a number of Waterfalls, the Falls at Rogie Falls, 15 minutes away, were made famous by Robert Louis Stevenson who sat and drew the falls and put the picture in his book, Kidnapped, the main stone is still there to be seen. There is the Corrieshalloch Gorge along the road at 200 feet deep, Falls of Measach 15 minutes away, Castle Leod as seen in the TV series Outlander 20 minutes away, Blackmuir Wood 14 miles away, The visitor centre at Culloden Moor is well worth a visit, just to name a few local visitor attractions.
