The second front desk agent I spoke with was unable to provide any meaningful assistance. This left us no choice but to escalate the matter to the manager. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was unacceptable, unprofessional, and dismissive. He stated that the room was not ready, refused to provide even an estimated availability time, and claimed there was no way to check with the cleaning staff—an explanation that is unreasonable and concerning for a hotel of this standard. We were finally able to check in at 8:00 PM, which is four hours past the regular check‑in time. The complete lack of communication, transparency, and basic customer service caused significant inconvenience and reflects poorly on the hotel’s operational standards. "We had a lovely stay at Arlo Midtown, very close to Times Square and subway near port terminal and the hotel staff are lovely and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and cleaned every day. We will definitely go back! They even gave my daughter some macarroons as it was her 18th birthday when we stayed last week."
