"The beach is excellent at the resort and it is very easy to entry the ocean. Overall the service provided by all of the staff e.g. entertainment, food & beverage and housekeeping was very good. The selection of restaurants was also very good including the quality and selection of food. The rooms are very spacious and clean. "

"This is the best I’ve ever seen the melia Punta Cana wellness look. This was our sixth time visiting the resort there was just a feeling that everyone was going above and beyond their duties to make the guests feel special. For example, when we were at the spa pool, I noticed that three umbrellas were tattered and they had been tattered ever since November when we were there last time. The spa is supposed to be a beautiful relaxing place that it is and those umbrellas just look terrible so I emailed the front desk and said that the umbrella had been like that since November at least and it was unbelievable the next day all the umbrellas were new and lovely and fresh. also, there was the big pile of ropes that had washed up on shore and some old towels, so I put them all in a pile on the beach and I told the staff that there was a big pile of garbage on the beach that needs to be picked up and it was picked up within a few hours. The staff is excellent. The place is gorgeous. The level is the best."

"The restaurants were fully booked every night, it wasn’t convenient to make reservations since they don’t allow reservations to be made while booking the vacation. We didn't get to try any of them except the steakhouse. The only times available (sometimes) were between 9:30-10:30 and they recommended going to see them periodically throughout the day to see if people had cancelled their reservations. We tried tha and there was barely cancellations but when we walked by the restaurants they weren’t crowded. When we finally got a a reservation to the steakhouse the food was cold and looked exactly like the food from the buffet. Other than that the resort itself was beautiful and had tons of fun at the pool and beach. Most of the staff was friendly. Resort is huge so a lot of walking!"

"Pool was great, beach was great. Water park was great. However , No room towels it was a hassle to get shower towels. One day our water was brown and they messed up our room assignment. Refrigerator didn’t work but they replaced it. Bathroom set up had no privacy. Overall enjoyed our stay just disappointing with certain setup and obstacles. "

"This hotel did not meet my expectations. As a new/renovated hotel I expected a better experience but was left disappointed. For starters upon check in, our check in employee was frustrated to do our check in. He said the process should have been something done before we arrived at the hotel and online. He proceeded to say it was something he was doing as a courtesy. As a family group, traveling with 4 seniors… it is ridiculous to think our older family members would know how to do an online check in. We also were celebrating two wedding anniversaries there was no congratulations or acknowledgment of that. As a frequent traveler, I thought this was odd. We then moved forward to our rooms, our rooms were very spacious and newly renovated. The only issue with our room was cleanliness. (See photo of how we found the toilet without even using it) We then proceeded to pool area, the pool area was horrible. All of the edges of the pool were full of used cups, no staff to clean them up. We told a supervisor and she said someone would come and clean. We stayed in the pool for about two hours more and no one ever cleaned up the area. There’s a bar at the pool that goes unattended with no staff. I don’t think this is at the fault of the employees since they should schedule an employee in the pool area and one upstairs. This bar also provides the drinks for the buffet so they are always very behind and busy. You have to come out of the pool to get any service. Not to mention, th"

"Very, clean and modern place with pool and veranda. The host was a bit late giving us check in info basically whdn we were on the way to the apartment but his communication was better after. We lost power on the second day but he got it back after awhile. I wish there were more cooking supplies like oil and seasoning. There is a restaurant and store nearby. "

"Please be aware of our experience during our stay at Paradisus Grand Cana from March 11–16. Our 14-month-old daughter became sick after dinner one evening with symptoms consistent with suspected food poisoning, including vomiting followed by two days of diarrhea. Later in the stay, both my wife and I also became ill within hours after eating, with similar symptoms overnight. This resulted in multiple nights of little to no sleep and extended time confined to our room caring for our sick child. While we understand that illness can occur while traveling, the timing and pattern of symptoms were very concerning. We reported the issue during our stay and followed up afterward, providing documentation, but no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered. In addition, my wife’s tomato allergy was not consistently respected, making some meals inedible, and a personal item was lost during arrival without resolution. The resort has nice amenities, but based on our experience, this was not the level of care or response we expected—especially when traveling with a young child."
