"There was a bartender very rude, he’s name is Luis, was Tuesday, my husband asked for a a beer and he wanted to use a cup that he took from the bag that have all the dirty cups with out rinsing it out, when my husband asked him to at least wash it, he got very upset and rude, some of the employees needed to be more friendly, we had been to a different resort and there’s a lot different kind of people more friendly and supportive"

"Perfect Family Getaway! Barceló Bávaro exceeded every expectation! The kids absolutely loved the sprawling pools and water slides, while the adults enjoyed the pristine beach and endless entertainment. The only challenge was the language barriee but we were able to still communicate and I used that opportunity to learn some Spanish. The all-inclusive dining was impressive — plenty of options for even the pickiest little eaters. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making every family member feel special. The rooms were spacious and spotless. From the kids' club to the nightly shows, there was never a dull moment. We'll definitely be back — this resort truly knows how to create magical family memories!"

"From the moment we arrived, the staff made it clear we were an inconvenience. Basic requests were met with attitude, indifference, or flat-out ignored. Something as simple as getting a towel card turned into a battle — a request that should take seconds. You should never feel like a bother at a resort you paid good money to enjoy. 🔇 ATMOSPHERE & AMBIANCE For an adult-only resort, the energy was shockingly nonexistent. No music. No vibe. No life. The silence was almost eerie — nothing about it felt like a vacation, let alone a premium getaway. An adult resort without atmosphere is just an expensive place to sit quietly. 🍽️ FOOD & DINING The food was a major letdown. We're in the Dominican Republic — one of the most flavorful culinary cultures in the Caribbean — and not a single authentic Dominican dish was in sight. Instead, we were served tired, generic American-style food that looked and tasted like it had been recycled throughout the week. No freshness, no local flavor, no effort. 🏚️ FACILITIES Everything felt worn and dated. The property had clearly seen better days, and maintenance appeared to be an afterthought. For the price point of an all-inclusive resort, the overall condition was well below acceptable standards."

"Not really an all-inclusive. They only had a handful of drink options, and everything else was an add-on. The restaurants were never open, and when they were, reservations were always gone. They never had breakfast ready and the buffet opened whenever they felt like it, so I was hungry my entire stay. They also didn’t give me the room I paid for. I originally booked a room with both an indoor hot tub and an outdoor one, but they gave me a room with only the outdoor tub—and it rained most of the time, so I couldn’t even use it. They didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience either. Don’t go here if tequila is your drink of choice."

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Meliá Hotel. The resort itself is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly relaxing, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay. As someone with Celiac disease, travelling can sometimes be stressful when it comes to food and dining options, but the staff were outstanding. They took my dietary requirements seriously, explained gluten-free options carefully, and always made me feel safe and reassured during every meal. Their attention to detail and kindness genuinely made such a difference to my holiday experience. The service across the hotel was warm, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. The added touches, including the complimentary massage for booking, made the stay feel even more special and luxurious. Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful destination with exceptional customer service — especially anyone travelling with dietary requirements."

"We just got back from our vacation at Paradisus Grand Cana and overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The staff truly went above and beyond for us. Specifically, when we requested a late checkout due to our nighttime flight, they kindly accommodated us. This allowed our toddler to take his nap and gave our kids time to rest before the flight home, which made a huge difference for our family. Beyond the excellent service, the property itself is absolutely stunning. From the rooms to the outdoor areas, everything is beautifully maintained and visually impressive. This resort is also extremely family-friendly. There were so many activities and things for our kids to enjoy throughout our stay, including virtual reality games, painting activities, inflatables, and most importantly, Fun Republic, which is only a short 2-minute shuttle ride away from the resort. The kids truly had the time of their lives and made memories that will last forever. The food at the buffet was also great. My only suggestion for improvement would be the restaurant reservation system, as it was a little difficult to secure dinner reservations at times. Thankfully, the quality and variety at the buffet more than made up for it. All in all, this was a beautiful property and an excellent stay. Once again, thank you to the wonderful staff who consistently went above and beyond to accommodate our family throughout the trip!"
