"Beautiful spacious rooms on 4th floor! Pink doors! So cute! Love the private onsens! Each onsen. Is unique and some have the open air concept! I love it! Relaxing here! Free ramen late night and during the day free popsicles and yougurt drinks. Don’t get the breakfast option here it is not good. We all got stomach food poisoning from it. It’s not buffet so don’t get suckered into getting the breakfast here with hotel room. Opt out! It’s the best trip tip staying here! The dinner too was not good! There’s a set course and the first night tofu and raw chicken was gross. Don’t do it! Save your money for the yummy restaurants a few steps outside of this hotel. "

"Spacious and clean room with two beds and mini kitchen area. Less than 10 minute walk from the Arashiyama train station and about 25 minute walk to bamboo forest. Property also has bikes available so we rode bikes to the train station by the bamboo forest and walked over. Breakfast was included and decent. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Need to hop on a train to get in order to get to Nishiki market and Pontocho area. "

"Our stay in the room with the private hot spring bath was more than just a nights stay but an experience on its own. With the room being at the foot of the mountain overlooking the river, theres no shortage of breaktaking scenery. The unbelievable full service dinner and breakfast served and presented on beautiful tableware was artwork. A quiet, private and relaxing experience that made my wife and I feel like royalty. Walking distance from multiple local shops and other activities, Ryotei Rangetsu is one of the reasons we will be returning to Kyoto."
