「Starting here on my own as a single woman I felt safe. My room, bathroom and the communal facilities were really clean, although there were signs of wear in a couple of places, for example the bed base. I was in the original hotel, where the building itself could do with some attention in places (window ledges, etc) which I hope they attend to because it's a beautiful building in a wonderful location. It's easy to get to on the edge of Matlock Bath and has plenty of parking.
