「I had a lovely stay at The Three Shires Inn which is in the lovely, quiet spot in the middle of the countryside. Loved seeing the mountains and sheep. I would highly recommend.」

「Stayed three nights with my wife. Being very close to Wasdale, 40min drive, it is convenient for climbing Mt. Scafell Pike. Room is spacious with a splendid view. One down point is that the pub on the ground floor is sometimes, on Friday evening in particular, noisy. 」

One example being the bathroom, shower heads were not consistent in the water pressure and so caused a lot of spraying all across. 「Lovely old pub in a little village, no car park as such, staff were lovely and helpful but room was dusty on skirts and tables and the complimentary biscuits were out of date, two of them were October 2024, the small long Life milks had expired early October as well. We couldn’t get Wi-Fi in the room despite the instructions being in a welcome book and we couldn’t get the tv on anything.
