"Myself and my husband chose this hotel for our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! The hotel staff upgraded our room when we arrived and wow what a treat it was! The room was beautiful and so were the views from our room. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel is a short walk in to the little town where there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and bars. The hotel over looks the boat docks so you can easily get boat tours around the lake. There is parking on site which does have a charge of £15 per day. The breakfast buffet was perfect. It was fairly small but had everything you could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to thank the staff for making our anniversary extra special! "

"we had a wonderful stay with our grandchildren in December, the hotel was beautiful and the seasonal decorations where truly spectacular. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our room was fabulous with a queen size bed as well as bunk beds for the children. The dining room was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean with wonderful views of the lake. Would 100% stay here again. "

"This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again next year! Thanks again! Nat & Pete "

"The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The breakfast room was wonderful with lovely views of the snowy mountain tops. Great selection available for breakfast. My Eggs Royal were lovely, thank you for our amazing stay! "We had a lovely two-night stay. The house is very nice, our room was warm, spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with lots of options. The location was excellent for Bowness shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, plus Lake Windermere too, with a 10-minute walk. We would definitely stay here again."
