"The hotel is beautiful and such a pleasure to stay at. The staff is so accommodating and truly want to be of service. Even though the building is old they've done an amazing job keeping it from looking or feeling run down"
"It was a nice older building with a very friendly staff.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the metro that meandered through a nice neighborhood and passing through DuPont Park which was beside the Metro station. There were several nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You could also eat at the hotel restaurant."
"The Baron hotel smacks of old world charm, like a Parisian hotel with a curious layout, and relatively small rooms which maintained much of their original character, and were immaculately kept by our maids. (Be sure to leave them a tip!). The halls were lined with antiques and many photos of famous Americans with descriptions that could serve as a History 101 course. This was one of the best things about our stay in DC, and should we return for a visit when the city is NOT UNDER SIEGE, this is the hotel we will choose. PS-There is no nearby parking, so expect to rely on Uber or Lyft during your stay. "
