Even restaurant in the hotel had good western food which was much needed after getting tired of eating Japanese food. You get one free drink also every night from that restaurant. "My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! "

"We were upgraded to the top floor upon our regular room being unavailable last minute due to some renovations or something. Gorgeous balcony and corner views, despite the building not being very tall compared to the towers nearby. Location is decent with a few options for subway access nearby, but could be better, as Dotonbori and other spots are still quite a walk away. "
