"We had a wonderful time staying at the "Red Cottage". We thought the property was even better in person then the photos listed. My husband and I spent time with our daughter and two of her adult children and her teenager. There was plenty of room for us. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were nice quality. We enjoyed playing games at the large dining table. We also used the hot tub to relax. The lake view from the house is beautiful and the sunsets each evening were spectacular. It was extra nice having the steps to the beach. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked for cooking meals. We however skipped cooking and enjoyed eating at many of the local restaurants. There are many outdoor activities, hiking, beaches, nature abounds all close to the cottage. We defiantly recommend this property and would stay here again. "

"Two of us stayed in the cabin for a weekend during the winter, and it was so cozy! The fireplace did a great job of heating the space, and kicks on automatically. We had no problem staying warm. As other reviews stated, though it backs up to woods, it is in a neighborhood. But there is a decent amount of seclusion. The exterior has also been painted black recently, so it looks different than the pictures, but the black looks great! Cooking supplies and utensils were conveniently in the cabin as well as towels and a few toiletries which was really helpful. VRBO Owner was quick and responsive to any questions we had. Hoping to stay again in the future!"

"We enjoyed our week here. The property is peaceful, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The common space is nice and open (the photos don't totally do it justice), and the bedrooms are comfortable. The beach was heavenly, and the sunsets were amazing! Also, there are bald eagles nesting nearby, and we got to see them on several occasions. A few more labels and instructions in/around the unit would be helpful. As another reviewer noted, finding your way to the water the first time is a little tricky (even with the emailed instructions from the owner). The driveway up to the property is fairly steep and the turnaround at the top is tight, which wasn't a deterrent for us, but something you may want to know if you're considering the property, especially if you're coming in more than one car. Also, while everything inside is on one level, you need to go down and back up a series of steps to get from the parking area to the house, so if you have mobility issues, that could be challenging. All in all, we had a great time and would wholeheartedly recommend the property."
