"Main reason for choosing this hotel is for spa and gym facilities as I do not like missing gym sessions when I’m away. Hotel location easy to find. The building looks okay, decor is very dated, communal areas are clean apart from sauna area but expected… Gym facilities could be better organised but equipments are excellent. Managed to get amazing workouts which was surprising as hotel usually only have basic stuff but not in this case. Breakfast was adequate and seemed fresh, same each day. Main con for this hotel is the room and the lift. The floor was lopsided and made me and my partner feel giddy every time we walk around the bed, and the lift my gosh was very very slow and tiny. Sign says 8people, well like a sardine with 4. Massive pros, staff are lovely and always smiling and very accommodating and helpful. Gym although not very clean and disorganised we have had amazing sessions due to excellent equipments. Will I recommend and come back again? —absolutely!!! Mainly for staff, gym and spa. Enjoyed our stay for these reasons. "

"This was a beautiful spot for a few days away as a family of four. The accommodation was ideal, with all the comforts needed for a relaxed break. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of the sea & beyond. We loved our 3 days here and cannot wait to come back again soon "

"We had a fantastic stay at Churchill Gardens. Alex was very helpful and it was great to park at the property. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. There is a shared kitchen and various delicious items are provided from cereals, granola, yoghurt, fruit to bread, toast, crumpets, eggs and muffins. All the utensils and things for cooking are also provided such as sauces and oils so you can make an evening meal if you want to. The room (Victoria) was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with all soaps, shampoos and even robes provided. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. "Great location and delicious breakfast hotel a bit old and squeaky and right by a road with no double glazing probably because it's a listed building. but enjoyed two nights stay and I'd return again."

"The staff were welcoming initially but when we left on Wednesday 1st April the lady doing the breakfast and checkout was clearly stressed. This resulted in her being abrupt with hotel guests at the breakfast table. We could hear her complaining about lack of staff and that she was having to do too much. She also commented on someone asking for brown and white toast as “being weird”. The bedding and towels were clean but there was mould on the bedroom windows and the bath. The food was great in the restaurant. "

"Room was great and we were able to park outside the door which was appreciated. Our evening main meal in the pub was very good as was the breakfast in the morning. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bub bed and breakfast. "
