"An old fashioned hotel which is clean, welcoming and close to the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the young girl in the restaurant. Only downside is there is a lot of scaffolding up at the moment and we were unable to open our windows ,due to ladders making it feel unsafe, but would definitely recommend and stay again."

"Excellent hotel - have stayed many times and the recent refurbishment has really done wonders for the rooms. More soundproofed, air conditioning, completely renovated bathrooms. Everything excellent, from the room, the location, the staff, the restaurant. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in Folkestone."

"Check in was soo quick. Room was soo big with all the things you needed tea, coffe, biscuits, juice,water,fan, heater,shelf, hangers,safe box, dressing table with big mirror, big sufa,toiletries. I was staying in junior suite with sea view and the best thing i like into this room bath tub was inside the bedroom but after make the booking you have to inform them you need this room. Staff are really nice and helpful the guy i don't know his name but he is very good and helpful. There is some problems with room for summer time they have no air con into the room and very hard to open the window. But honestly i didn't feel too much hot because the room is normally good temperature. Or if you open window there is a nice air come from outside. Also for now they are doing some work in front of the building soo it just blocked my sea view but they inform me before i booked this room. Soo i don't mind with this. Overall great stay. Hopefully come back next time"

"As this is a guest house, not hotel one expects different amenities. The Wycliffe met our expectations and was ideally located for our requirements. It's an old building that has been modified so the en suite was small with an electric shower. Given the high temperatures, the fan in the room was excellent and necessary. The breakfast was sufficient."
