「Newly refurbished excellent rooms even the single one I had was a reasonable size spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast very good and the staff were helpful and polite 」

「This is a lovely hotel with everything you need. Great for a short stay in Folkestone. Rooms are clean and tidy, a delicious breakfast is on offer and the staff are friendly. Just wish we could have checked in before 3pm. 」

「Southcliff has a great location high above the beach. I got a great view of a massive thunderstorm over France. It also has a smallish lift (elevator) to all floors. My ensuite bathroom room was small but adequate. The window was difficult to open (and keep open). Two electrical outlets are not enough in the 21st century.」

「Have stayed here a few times. The clientele here can be a bit mixed and have seen some interesting characters but the rooms are clean and comfortable and more often or not with a lovely view of the harbour. For the price I can't fault it. If you want something a bit more upmarket you have to pay for it. But for a bed for the night and the location to the port - this place is excellent.」

「Great older property with lots of charm. The gentleman working the front desk was very helpful and kind. It was a bit warm on the top level (seasonably hot weather). but otherwise it was amazing, also lots of stairs to be aware of. The location was great and easily walkable to the sea! 」
