"Went to attend our paperwork 30min before check-in- room wasn’t ready- fair- told them I’ll be back in 30min. Went back at 2, still not ready. Asked to wait- then 10min later they said they still need 5min. I took the keys and told them I would walk slow. When we got there 10min later they were still vaccummiing but let us in- asked about the delay- they said there was a malfunction in the room. Once in the room realised the aircon wasn’t working- as we were about to call they arrived with a new card for a different room, saying the electricity was out in that room- not sure why they didn’t just give us the new room in the first place instead of making us drag out 3yr old around for over 30min"

"Been heresy many times over the years from Melbourne for the AFL game versus Collingwood. Won’t be coming again. The hotel has lost its vibe. Use to be an experience in elegance. The staff at reception barely spoke English. We asked for recommendations on late night eateries as we arrived at 9.30 pm from the airport and were directed to fast food chains. You get that kind of advice at the IBIS not the Grace."

"Price was excellent but room servicing left a lot to be desired. First two days out of six a pass but forget the rest of the days, we had to ask for things like towels etc…even toilet paper. Bed not made and had to use our coffee cups three days in a row without clean ones. Floor was not vacuumed once etc etc. Will not stay there again."

"I don’t know how this place has a “luxury” tag on this website. This is not a luxury hotel, it’s severely average. Tired carpet, decor and NOT soundproofed into the hallway, you can hear every little footfall. I was not in their cheapest rooms either! Some of the staff were really lovely at the counter Hotel.com had gold VIP access- free drink but the staff had never heard of that before- luckily the gentleman at the desk honoured this at check out but it was a hassle for all."
