「My husband and I stayed for three nights at Longacre. The owner is very kind. The house is spacious, but I did find it to be a little dated. We stayed in the manor room which was very big but seems like it was decorated from the early 90s. Also, there was no option to lower the temperature in the room, so I had to use a fan from the closet to try to cool the room down. The grounds behind the house are beautiful and peaceful.」

「If you plan to go to this area frankly there is no better alternative. From the charming rooms and staff to the excellent meals, Babcock is a great place to stay.」

「Shower faucet, toilet flush, bathroom faucet all broken. Bath room not clean」

「This is a beautiful home with tons of space for large groups. The kitchen is a wonderful size for large groups. The extra fridges was a big plus for our large group. Enough room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. The pool was a huge hit for our group. I loved the porches and the sitting space they offered.」

「This perfect little house in Appomattox is the best! It is less expensive than the hotel in the town. You cannot ask for more than a 3 bedroom house with a wonderful kitchen, bathroom, front porch and snacks on the table. Beyond comfortable. Great TV selections in the living room with wonderful seating for all. Did I mention a washer and dryer! I have stayed in this house at least 4 times over the past few years. Don't hesitate to book this best kept secret in Appomattox.」
