"What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Arimoto and would come again."

"The property is so close to the train station / ferry! We had a excellent stay, and it was great value for money. The only con is that there aren't any restaurants at walking distance. But we only stayed for a night, and highly recommend it!"

"Best view on the island over Miyashima.
Rooms are super clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel, but well worth the money. I recommend staying two nights so you can enjoy the island and not be rushed to do everything in a single day."
"Absolutely beautiful place, gave me everything I needed in my holiday in Japan have recommend it to everyone I know, it is a beautiful place and location. "
"This place was a highlight of our trip. You get to stay in a classic Japanese house, that’s basically on top of one of the most sought after sushi restaurant of Miyajima. The dinner you will get here will blow your mind and the owner is such an amazing character. He even drove us back for free at the station as it was pouring rain. After our meal, he even brought us to feed the deer! We miss this place. "
"This is a delightful hotel run by very helpful and friendly people, and we had a wonderful stay. We were in one of the Japanese-style rooms with a view of the water, which was amazing. The room was very comfortable. The oysters cooked at the place at the hotel entrance were great. "
"What a wonderful and authentic Japanese experience. The hosts made us both feel extremely welcome and accommodated despite the language barrier. The Japanese style keiseki breakfast and dinner were outstanding both in taste and general experience. Thoroughly recommend for those who want a true Ryokan experience. The private onsen was also outstanding to say the least."
