Top Daiganji Temple Hotel Reviews

Itsukushima Iroha

Itsukushima Iroha

10/10 Excellent
"This is an amazing hotel with a spectacular view from your room if you have a sea-view room. The island of Miyajima is a beautiful place and this hotel compliments its beauty with traditional Japanese architecture and furniture wile also offering the most very modern facilities for your comfort and relaxation while staying there. We had lounge access and the was great for snacks and afternoon/evening drinks. The dinner was exceptional with a five course meal that totally satisfied our varied palettes. The rooms are big and spacious with a strong traditional Japanese twist. And the beds were some of the most comfortable we had slept in on our many travels. The staff were just amazing also. So attentive and helpful. This is a gem of a hotel in the beautiful island of Miyajima. Added bonus is that the water gate structure is just a stone throw away. Would highly recommend."

Miyajima Machiya Hotel Shiomachi-An

10/10 Excellent
"This is a real ryokan experience, with a lot of thought from the owner to make it a nice experience. Location is great , extra mattresses are available. For us it was expensive, but once you have the dinner and breakfast, you understand why. He makes exquisite sushi for dinner, fresh. He also makes a great breakfast, omelette, salmon, broth, yoghurt n fruit, pancake and juice. The dinner is. best food I have ever eaten, and I didn’t even really like sushi. All fish and rice, with delicate flavours designed for one mouthful each we had around 15. so delicious oyster scallops otoro squid prawn loads of different fish. Warm. We added drinks and these were inexpensive like £2-4 each. I had a v generous serving of sake. There’s also an outside terrace with partial view of the torii gate. Once we had eaten we felt like we had a bargain here!! There are two spacious bedrooms, extra mattresses sinks in I rooms one toilet and one shower room. Only one group is there at a time so it is private. The air con worked well and there were plenty of mattresses. The blackout binds were effective."

"The deep baths we're so relaxing after a hot and humid day. The staff were super friendly and explained everything in great detail. The Japanese breakfast set was such an amazing meal and had so many different dishes to try. You can see the floating tori gate from a more quiet area just outside the ryokan."

Miyajima Shiro

Miyajima Shiro

8/10 Good
"The property is very nice, clean and modern. The living room is a comfortable place to relax. Please be aware that this is a 3 bedroom property and the other rooms will be occupied by other guests. The kitchen, living room, toilets, and bathroom are all shared with the other guests. The house is lovely but has very thin walls and doors and you can hear all the other guests, even when they are trying to be very quiet. If the other guests leave early in the morning you will very likely be woken up. It is a nice place to stay but please consider this when booking. "
