Miyajima attractions for couples

Miyajima, often referred to as "Island of the Gods," offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage that will captivate any traveler. Start your adventure with a visit to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine, famed for its floating torii gate that appears to rise from the sea during high tide, providing a stunning backdrop for family photos. For the thrill-seekers, hiking up Mount Misen rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea and the surrounding islands, making it a perfect family activity. Don’t miss the friendly deer that roam freely around the island, providing a delightful experience for children and adults alike. Food lovers can indulge in local specialties like grilled oysters and momiji manju, a sweet cake shaped like maple leaves, which are perfect for a quick snack while exploring. For a luxurious stay, consider accommodations near the waterfront, where you can enjoy traditional ryokan experiences with tatami mat rooms and kaiseki dining, offering attentive service that caters to your every need. After a day of exploration, relax in an onsen with views of the serene bay, creating unforgettable family memories.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima

8/10 Good
"This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the city. Great location for travelling as the main station is just 2 minutes away from the hotel (they are actually connected). While we liked the hotel, we found the breakfast in the executive lounge was limited so we decided to use the main restaurant which had a lot more variety. Also the gym was very small for such a large hotel. That said, the lounge had a good array of drinks and snacks available, and the staff were very attentive. The front desk area was also very impressive. This is a very good hotel and we also found it very convenient for transportation options around the city and beyond."
