"Just came home from a week there Oct 12-17. When we arrived there was a very NASTY storm rain and wind. Rental car was a hassle and learning how to use it was no fun in the storm. Hotel worked with us about early check in having me do everything while still waiting for the room. The weather wasn’t good but the front desk said they’d call me when the room was ready and they did. Only real problem was we were from the west coast and had to deal with a 3 hour time difference, not good,!!. So we never got room service because we had the “do not disturb” sign on. But if you put your trash out they’ll get it and towels I went to the laundry room and did exchange. So all in all it worked out . The best part was we were in the tower with a direct view of the ocean and a balcony. 14th floor out of 15. Late at night people were looking for crabs with flashlights and they had a special truck grooming the sand and empty the trash at night. Oh yea don’t forget the heated pool and hot tub. "

"It is always scary to choose a beach experience for the first time. Therefore, we really felt like we struck gold with The Ellie Resort. Beach view, cleanliness of room, food & drink options, helpfulness of staff, that magnificent pier — all exceeded our expectations. Only two suggestions: Free coffee in the lobby is a must for a hotel of this quality; and (traveling with a friend in a wheel chair), larger parking spaces that are better protected from the elements would be appreciated. With that said, however, we cannot wait to come back to Myrtle Beach, and, when we do, The Ellie will be our lodging choice! Jim Mitchell"

"Definitely recommend this hotel. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Great location for shopping and dining."

"Room was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfy. Location was good. It is a few blocks from the beach, walk through a big park and parking lot to get there. Its a really nice beach area. You can rent umbrellas and chairs there. Nice access for handicapped visitors. There wasnt a beach shuttle while we were there. Parking fee is $10 a night. Only 6 covered spots. Pool area is nice. Good shops and restaurants nearby that are walkable. You have to drive to the lighthouse 5 miles away, but its worth it. Breakfast is ok, if you get there early enough. Would probably stay again if in the area. "
