"The staff were polite and friendly, especially the young lady who ran through our room facilities. The car park at the rear was a bonus to be off the main road. The room was generally very clean, just some stains on part of the showers grout and dust behind the bed. The room was warm and comfortable with a set of drawers as a wardrobe wouldn't fit. Breakfast was excellent with locally sourced produce and the jam and marmalade made on the premises. The Tea Rooms are in the centre of Chipping Campden with shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance. "

"We paid £160 for a Friday night stay in March, even after a discount, so this was not a cheap booking. We chose Cotswold House Hotel & Spa specifically because it is marketed as a spa hotel. However, when we tried to use the spa, we were told it was fully booked. At no point during booking via Hotels.com, or in any communication, were we told that spa access requires advance reservation, is subject to availability, or incurs an extra charge. The only reference was to booking treatments. I reviewed all correspondence, including with reception, and this information simply was not provided. This feels like a clear misrepresentation. The response at reception was also poor, dismissive, and offered no real solution beyond “maybe” checking later, with no guarantee and no lounger access. The room itself was also disappointing for the price: very small, uncomfortably hot, tiny shower, peeling paint, and we had to prop the window open for ventilation. To make matters worse, the hotel blamed Hotels.com/Expedia for both communication and refunds, while Hotels.com said they couldn’t get through to the hotel, leaving us stuck in the middle. Overall, a frustrating experience and not what you expect from a hotel positioned as a premium spa stay."

"I had a wonderful stay at the hideaway apartment in the Cotswolds. It had everything I needed for a comfortable visit, and the space was spotlessly clean throughout. The decor was lovely and thoughtfully done, which made it feel really welcoming and relaxing.The host was also incredibly helpful and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy and well-maintained stay in the area, and I’d happily return in the future."

"I last stayed here in 2016 and sadly it has since got a bit tired. Public areas, stair wells etc could do with some TLC and like so many hotels staffing seems stretched. Room 8 was uncomfortably warm even with the windows open and floor fan on. The Spa facility is at another establishment and attracts a £10pp fee so photos are rather misleading. Restaurant was very good with excellent staff. On site parking was limited and pretty tight but managed to find a space. Overall I enjoyed my stay, staff were friendly and did their best but some investment is needed to lift the Noel Arms back to its former glory"

"The staff were very friendly on arrival however there were some miscommunication and we were left for half an hour waiting to be checked in whilst we were missing the wedding which we questioned, the room was okay, quite small and basic but no issues, unfortunately there were skid marks in the toilet from someone else which then made us question the cleanliness, the light had a sensor in the bathroom and it kept going on and off during the night making a clicking noise which was quite annoying. "

"We spent a week at the Old Studio and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. I had spent quite a bit of time researching where to stay and chose Chipping Campden, which was exactly the right choice.We did not have a car, but that was not a problem at all. The house is just off Sheep Street and an easy walk—under ten minutes—to Chipping Campden’s beautiful High Street, with its restaurants, cafés, and small shops. We were also able to use local buses and taxis without difficulty, including trips to nearby villages and the train station at Moreton-in-Marsh.Helen was an excellent host—prompt, clear, and thoughtful in her communication both before and during our stay, always available if we had a question. She welcomed us with chocolate croissants and milk in the refrigerator, which was such a kind touch after a long journey.The house itself was comfortable, very quiet at night, and well equipped. The bed and linens were excellent, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. After a day exploring the villages and countryside, it was a lovely place to return to.We would happily stay at the Old Studio again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located base for exploring the Cotswolds."
