Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

"The property is in an excellent location. It is in the center of downtown Honolulu close to multiple bars and restaurants. Very close to most of the popular attractions, etc. While not on the beach, it is directly across the street from the beach with full beach access. My only critique is the $65 a day resort fees for which I felt we received very little value. The pool area is very small with limited seating and if you are there when there are multiple children, it is not a relaxing experience. We went the first day afternoon of our trip and did not bother going back. I would have preferred to have stayed a few blocks away from the ocean and saved that resort fee for the use we received."

"I wish someone mentioned the swell deck scenario upon check in, we shouldn’t have had to be surprised a the restaurant that you have to pre register to simply eat breakfast. My other suggestion is to update the bathroom doors to barn sliding doors, the doors completely don’t work with the bathrooms, it’s the tightest bathroom I’ve seen in a while and changing the doors would significantly help, for the bathroom alone I wouldn’t stay again . Stunning property otherwise , view was 10/10, loved the location."

"All the staff were very friendly, happy and offering assistance. The hotel is very close to the beach and great local restaurants. They have a game room, a pool, and laundry facilities. The buffet breakfast had many choices, including soup. On site there is a spa treatment, excursion tours and a rental car agency. Great place and location"

"This hotel is not a bad hotel at all; however the value is not worth the cost. For the high costs and resort fee, you will have a much newer and enjoyable experience at the Marriot. The difference in price is pennies and the difference in room and amenities is drastic. I was very disappointed by the room and hotel in comparison to the other hotels in the area. They have tons of hidden fees, the pool is not impressive, there is no hot tub, the rooms are older. I would definitely choose a different hotel in the area even if it seems more expensive, in the end you will pay the same for less amenities. "

"The breakfast was very good. Pool area well kept & pool looked updated. Staff was VERY nice & had the Aloha Spirit. Only thing i would critique, is the AC needs updated & screens would be nice for the sliding door/windows? And, If you are staying in a room on the freeway side…the traffic is very loud in room. If you get a really Good $ rate …will prob result in a room with stair access only….on freeway side. "

"Staff is all super nice and helped with any questions very quickly! We asked for an hour later check out because my wife was pregnant and having a tougher morning and they made it happen no problem! The rooms are so clean and daily house keeping makes it look like you’re checking in to a new room every night. "
