"Spent two weeks in room 317, went well ~ Wi-Fi strong, aircon works, hot shower, nothing in the room worn-out or broken or unclean, comfortable bed with four pillows ~ Staff is consistently cheerful and helpful ~ Pool’s nothing special, but it exists and gets sun all day ~ Breakfast is routine, had it three or four times ~ Location is just outside the walled old city, so lots of temples in walking distance ~ Plenty of restaurants in the area, some good ~ Muay Thai boxing events every night but Sunday in easy walking distance ~ Lots of hotels in the area, but I’ll return to this one when I come back to Chiang Mai ~"

"We recently stayed at The Experience in Chiang Mai and found our stay to be overall okay, but with a few frustrations. The breakfast was decent—you’re able to choose one main item from a menu, with additional fruit and toast available buffet-style afterward. One issue we had was with our room. The original room we booked did not have a window, which was not ideal. Although there were upgraded rooms available (and the hotel seemed quite empty), we were still charged an additional 1000 baht to switch. This felt disappointing, especially considering how important something as basic as a window is for comfort. We also booked an elephant tour through the hotel, so we were surprised there wasn’t any flexibility or goodwill gesture when it came to the room upgrade, given we were spending extra money with them. Overall, the stay was fine, but a bit more flexibility and customer consideration would have gone a long way in improving our experience."
