「Location of this hotel is amazing. Everything else was just ok. Rooms were clean. Women at front desk didn't know much about parking or where to eat. Also the blinds were sheer so everyone could see in the room at night and the room was light as soon as the sun came up. That drove me crazy. 」

「The Lamplight, as always, was spotless and well-maintained. The location can’t be beat- a block from the beach and super close to restaurants, shops and bars. My only wish is that each room would be supplied with its own Keurig. One of the treats of staying in a motel is waking up and having a coffee in your bedroom before you even get dressed. While coffee is available at the motel, I’d be happier not having to go outside and sometimes downstairs to get my morning caffeine fix!」

「Upon checking in, there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell that was provided for use because I could hear talking and laughing but no one was at the desk. Someone came out to assist me to check in, and I was placed in the room that was in the lobby area, with the communal coffee bar set up right outside my door. 「Perfect location near stores and friendly, welcoming staff at check-in. If you book with the understanding that this is a basic motel for a good price at the Jersey shore, then you will be happy. Don't book expecting a 5-star hotel. The king-size bed was comfortable and clean, with ample closet space and a basic bathroom. This was all we needed for a one-night visit with family. 」
