「Unbelievable view of the water and Castillo Aragonese, which was walking distance. Convenient to bus stop. Anna was lovely and helped us get settled. Good breakfast. Great setting from which to explore Ischia.」

「We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. 」

「Here you book a room in an apartment, not a hotel. There is no reception, someone comes upon arrival and departure and gives you the key to the apartment and your room. You can stay in contact by whatsapp and get helpful information for your holiday. If there are no other guests in the other 3 rooms, you have the large balcony to yourself. The building is typical of Italy, very close to the neighboring houses, so you should keep the shutters closed all day to prevent the neighbors from seeing...
