「I arrived and the receptionist was nowhere to be found. I waiting’s 5-10 minutes then wandered around looking for staff. Found a kitchen team member who went to find someone. Waited another 5 minutes. Got checked in. Room was cold. Missed dinner due to delays. Shower started lovely and warm, within seconds of stepping in became cold. Had to suffer a cold shower. 「Helpful staff, good Wi-Fi. That's the positives out of the way. You actually have to park across the road in the job centre car park. My room had a raging hot radiator with no controls in May. Reception guy turned it off with a spanner, appreciated. Single Room: Outdated, grotty and only made over (a bit) every other day. Window latch broken, wobbly furniture, deadlock broken, no bedside table or shelf, no hooks or towel rails in bathroom, taps you cant operate with wet hands due to lack of...

「The staff were great however the hotel is looking very dated. The door frame looked like it had been kicked in more than once. The carpets, curtains and overall decor were really old. That said, the room was clean yet basic.」

「We stay here regularly whilst visiting family. I love it because everyone is very friendly, the beds are super comfy and there is a bath in the bathroom. It's walking distance into town even after a few drinks in the very reasonably priced bar! It's dog friendly too. Big carpark and surprisingly quiet after the bar closes. Usually football on the TV in the bar which keeps my husband happy (depending on play...) 😅 The Highfield is always our first choice when planning to come to Boro.」
